HOW DOES RHA COLLECTION WORK?
The natural hyaluronic acid in your skin helps provide moisture, volume, and structure to your skin. Over time, your skin produces less hyaluronic acid. The RHA® Collection is formulated to more closely mimic the HA that already exists in your skin, and may result in a more natural look. Like other HA fillers, the hyaluronic acid found in RHA Collection products binds to water in the skin, providing a naturally hydrated, firm, and youthful look to the skin while essentially filling in lines and wrinkles at the surface.
THE RHA COLLECTION PROCEDURE
Prior to administering your injections, Dr. Sárraga will review your health history and consider your cosmetic goals to determine whether RHA Collection is your best treatment option. Patients with certain health concerns or allergies may not be suited to RHA Collection injections. With the consultation complete, the treatment area will then be thoroughly cleansed and prepared for injections. As needed, a topical numbing agent can then be applied. However, RHA Collection injections are performed with a small needle, and most patients tolerate the small pinch of injections well. The products’ formulas also contain lidocaine, offering some pain relief after injections are administered. Typically, injections can be completed within just a few minutes.

RHA COLLECTION RESULTS
RHA Collection injections do not require downtime. Patients can immediately return to their normal routines. Some common side effects include redness, some swelling, and bruising at the injection site. These are minor and temporary. After receiving your injections, you should avoid applying pressure to the injection sites, strenuous activity such as exercise, drinking alcohol, or taking blood-thinning medications, as these can increase your risk of bruising or bleeding. All visible side effects should dissipate in no more than seven days.
RHA Collection results are immediately visible, despite some swelling. Swelling usually resolves within a few days at most, allowing patients to quickly enjoy their RHA Collection results. Thanks to RHA Collection’s resilient formula, results are long-lasting. Patients will typically see results that last between a year and fifteen months after receiving their injections. RHA Collection injections to areas including the nasolabial folds typically last longer than the lips or mouth areas. This will vary from patient to patient. When results subside, patients may choose to receive maintenance injections to keep up their new look. This can be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Sárraga.
