Face/Neck Lift with Chin Implant: 64 year old female presents with complaints of looseness and wrinkling of her face and neck areas, and also states that she’s not happy with her profile, and also feels that her chin is too small. Patient is seen pre-op, and then 3 months post-op after having a face and neck lift, done in combination with having a chin implant. In this instance the chin implant is placed through an incision placed under her chin. This is the same incision that is always used to remove some fatty tissue from the neck, and also to tighten some of the muscles in her neck (platysma muscles). This helps to contour, smooth, and “lift” the neck.
