WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive body contouring procedure that uses modular radiofrequency (RF) fractional energy to remodel deep tissues. This radiofrequency energy is delivered by a microneedling handpiece attached to a Subdermal Adipose Remodeling Device (SARD). The subdermal adipose tissues are the deeper layers of the skin that Morpheus8 penetrates and adipose tissue includes fat. The small punctures made by the microneedling device combined with heat generated by RF technology rebuild collagen and elastin to remodel or lift tissue and add volume. This thermal heat will also melt excess fat to tighten and tone the skin.
Collagen and elastin are proteins in the skin that give it structure and support. As we age, collagen production decreases and this causes the development of fine lines, wrinkles, and loose skin. The innovative technology used by Morpheus 8 reverses these aging effects and refreshes your appearance.

WHAT AREAS CAN MORPHEUS8 TREAT?

Morpheus8 can treat undereye bags, saggy jowls, nasolabial folds (lines between the mouth and nose), frown lines on the forehead, and fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck. The Morpheus8 applicator has three different microneedling tips designed for different areas of the face and different needs:

• 12-pin Morpheus8 Prime: small areas like the upper lip and around the eyes (periorbital zone)
• 24-pin Morpehus8: large areas like the forehead, jawline, neck, and nasolabial folds between the mouth and nose
• 24-pin Morpheus 8 Resurfacing: used for skin blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and scarring

Morpheus8 Body can also smooth wrinkles, stretch marks, or crepey skin and lift sagging skin on the chest, arms, knees, and abdomen. The Morpheus8 Body applicator uses 40 gold-plated microneedling pins to quickly treat large areas with deep tissue remodeling.

Morphus8 is a minimally invasive procedure that can be completed without sedation or anesthesia. A topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment areas to minimize discomfort and then the Morpheus8 applicator is moved across the skin. Depending on the size of the treatment area, Morpheus8 treatment can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes.

RESULTS AND RECOVERY

Morpheus8 requires minimal downtime and recovery. Minor swelling and bruising are common, but this will reduce within a few days and can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication and/or ice packs. Patients often have a tight feeling in their faces after treatment, but this will also resolve in a few days. Depending on the amount of skin laxity and the severity of skin aging, patients may need 1-3 treatment sessions scheduled one month apart.

Some improvements are immediately visible, but results will continue to develop for 6 weeks as collagen is regenerated, and your skin heals. Facial tissue will be lifted, skin texture will be smoother, and hollowed areas of the skin will be filled in to create firm, plump skin and an overall youthful appearance. These results typically last one year. To maintain your results, make sure to avoid direct sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen when you are outside.

After Morpheus8 results have subsided, patients may opt for additional treatments to maintain their results. They may also choose to pursue more permanent results from procedures such as a facelift.
