Fat reduction treatments are a major part of cosmetic procedures. Thousands of people undergo various fat reduction procedures each year. Liposuction, tummy tucks, and CoolSculpting are popular methods to reduce fat, tighten skin, and get an overall slimmer look. One of the newest forms of fat reduction that are completely noninvasive is Emsculpt.
What is Emsculpt?
Emsculpt is a procedure that uses a device that causes contractions to the treatment area. The contractions are very intense (impossible to reach through voluntary movement) and the muscle tissue starts to adapt to this condition. The device uses High-Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic Energy (HIFEM) to create these supramaximal muscle contractions. Due to the intensity of these contractions your body starts to burn fat, build muscle, and look more sculpted. The Emsculpt procedure has been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration for use on the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.
The Science Says It All
Clinical studies proved the effectiveness of Emsculpt treatments for fat reduction. On average patients experienced a 19% reduction of fat in the treatment area along with 16% increase of muscle mass. Also, many patients’ metabolisms increase 5x and clinical studies proved 96% in patient satisfaction.
How Long Are Treatments?
You can complete your Emsculpt treatments within two weeks. For an Emsculpt treatment plan, most patients get four thirty-minute sessions. These sessions will be spaced between two and three days apart. Since this treatment is noninvasive there is no downtime needed, which is why the sessions can be so close together. Patients may experience some soreness afterward much like if you had just worked out. Though most patients see some change immediately after their Emsculpt treatment, it can take up to a month to see the true results.
Who is a Good Candidate for Emsculpt?
Emsculpt is able to benefit men and women so they can get their ideal sculpted contours. Patients should be aware that this is not meant to be a weight loss procedure but should help to tighten up areas that you are struggling to do yourself. Patients should be at a healthy, stable weight and in good general health when getting an Emsculpt treatment.
